Suzanne Del Rizzo is the award-winning author/illustrator of My Beautiful Birds and Birds on Wishbone Street, and the illustrator of several other books for children. Suzanne’s dimensional illustrations use polymer clay, acrylic, and other mixed media to bring rich texture and imagination to her books. She lives in Oakville, Ontario.

Catherine Petit lives in Montreal, she used to work as a lawyer before realizing she is happiest when surrounded by paper and thoughts. In 2016, Catherine illustrated her first children’s book; since then, she’s illustrated more than thirty-five children’s books and is proud to say that being an illustrator is her full-time job.

Hurme, Maija

Maija Hurme is an illustrator of children’s books. Her book Shadowed (2018) was nominated for the Finlandia Junior Prize, while Bat Boy (2014) and Rustle Bustle Bu! (2015) were nominated for the Arvid Lydecken Prize. In 2015 she received the Finnish State Award for Information Publication for Children’s Own Yearbook (2015). Her Helsinki allotment has in part inspired Secret Gardeners.
