As fall approaches, I am pleased to announce that Pajama Press will now be represented by a new sales team headed up by the Hornblower Group and Read + Co Books. Both groups are respected trade sales agents who cover the vast territory of Canada. We are excited to have so many seasoned professionals selling our list this Fall season. Louis Anctil, who has handled our sales in Canada for the past 5 years has decided to wind down his sales agency and focus more on his French Publishing Company, Les éditions du Pacifique Nord-Ouest, going forward. We wish Louis all the best with his publishing endeavors and hope that he enjoys concentrating on his true passion, publishing French children’s books.
And lastly, I would like to offer my congratulations to our three recently nominated authors and illustrators who were part of the 2023/24 OLA Forest of Reading Program. Colleen Nelson, Michelle Kadarusman, Sandra Bradley, and Gabrielle Grimard—thank you for being part of the largest reading program in Canada for children. It has been wonderful to witness the great enthusiasm of all the kids who have been reading your books last fall and this spring.
